Futurera is a Multimedia Exhibition and Runway Showcase created by Art Calorie, Generative Lab and Yemo Indie Music and Culture Inc., which will integrate fashion, technology, visual arts and experimental music in the form of a showcase.  SonicWear was asked to do a performance using SOMO, so the lovely ladies of Undine Dance Company will give a unique performance just for this event.

We’re very excited about our residency with VibraFusionLab!    The lab is a collaborative space run by David Bobier where artists, scientists, and students can learn about and experiment in the vibrational arts.  We will explore ways of integrating SOMO with VibraFusion’s vibrotactile technology in an effort to support the movement of Deaf and Disability Arts in Ontario and Canada.  Drop by the lab if you are in London during that time.  On Thursday evening, October 22, the lab will go public with our experiments during an interactive performance combining dance, sound activation and the vibrotactile at The Muze.

We will demonstrate how SOMO, a wearable motion tracking device can be used in a variety of ways in your art practice and what sets it apart from similar devices.
